The Future Gen Cancer Scholars Program is a partnership between the Lifespan Cancer Institute, The Legorreta Cancer Center at Brown University, The Papitto Opportunity Connection, and The Public Schools of Providence, Central Falls and Pawtucket.

Lifespan Cancer Institute

Lifespan Cancer institute provides world class cancer care, including the most innovative anticancer treatments such as immunotherapy, gene- targeted and cellular therapies to fight cancer. There are over 70 state-of-the-art clinical trials at the Lifespan Cancer Institute. Care is patient-centered, humanistic and compassionate.

Papitto Opportunity Connection

The Papitto Opportunity Connection (POC) is a non-profit private foundation dedicated to listening and working together with Rhode Island’s Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities to empower and create individual success stories by investing in education, job skills training and entrepreneurial ventures.

The Legorreta Cancer Center is building world-class cancer research programs that bring basic science discoveries about cancer, interdisciplinary clinical, translational, and population research to innovative therapeutic, disease intervention and cancer prevention clinical trials to patients in the State of Rhode Island.
